Guided Practice Heart Chakra
Rose Quartz Protection Practice
A guided practice for gentle self-love and an open, protected heart, held by soft pink rose quartz.
The guided meditation is on its way
You can begin the practice below today. The video will appear right here once it's ready.
Rose quartz is known in crystal traditions as the stone of unconditional love, associated with the heart chakra. Protection doesn't always mean building walls; sometimes it means filling yourself with so much tenderness that there's no room left for harshness. This practice uses your sachet to come home to your own heart.
Inside your sachet
Raw rose quartz
The stone of compassion and self-love, associated with the heart chakra.
The practice
Step 1: Settle in
Find a quiet spot where you won't be interrupted for ten minutes. Sit comfortably with your feet on the floor, or lie down if that feels better today.
Step 2: Hold your sachet
Rest the sachet in your open palms, or place it gently over your heart, at the center of your chest. Notice its weight, the texture of the cloth, and the scent of the herbs inside.
Step 3: Breathe
Close your eyes. Breathe in slowly for a count of four, hold for four, and exhale for six. Repeat this seven times, letting each exhale soften your shoulders and jaw.
Step 4: Visualize
Bring your attention to the center of your chest. Picture a soft rose pink light gathering around the rose quartz and spreading outward until it surrounds you completely.
Step 5: Speak your affirmation
Say your affirmation aloud three times, slowly: "I am worthy of love, I give it freely, and my heart is safe and held." Let the words settle into your body before moving on.
Step 6: Close the practice
Take one more deep breath, open your eyes, and place your sachet where you'll see or carry it today. Return to this practice whenever you need to come back to yourself.
Your affirmation
“I am worthy of love, I give it freely, and my heart is safe and held.”
Caring for your sachet
Keep your sachet somewhere it can quietly do its work: under your pillow, in a bag you carry every day, on your altar, or near your front door.
Every new moon, hold the sachet in both hands, breathe slowly, and restate your intention. If you'd like to refresh it, leave it in moonlight overnight or pass it gently through the smoke of sage or palo santo.
When the herbs lose their scent, return them to the earth with gratitude. Keep the stone; it's yours to carry into the next practice.
